Four tracks, thousands of sounds
Move’s four tracks can be turned into a drum kit, sampler or instrument in seconds, so students can start making music right away.
Move's compact size, simple workflow and huge library of Ableton-quality sounds make it the perfect creative companion for the classroom.
For teachers, Move's simplified design means easy onboarding and lesson planning. For students, the ability to mix and match ideas and bring their own sound to Move leads to exciting breakthroughs - plus, its portability means they can keep the creative momentum going between lessons.
Move’s four tracks can be turned into a drum kit, sampler or instrument in seconds, so students can start making music right away.
Move’s 32 soft silicone pads let students play notes, create beats and trigger clips, and its touch-sensitive rotary encoders make it easy to shape each sound and effect to taste.
Teach sampling with Move’s line input and built-in microphone. Have a quick listen to your students’ work with the integrated speaker, or plug in headphones to limit classroom noise.
When your students are ready to refine their work, they can easily transfer their Sets to Live with the help of Move Manager and Ableton Cloud.

Yes. In Control Live mode, Move acts as a controller for Live. Move’s standalone features are disabled in this mode. To enable Control Live mode, connect Move to your computer via a USB-C cable. See Using Move to control Ableton Live to learn more.
In this mode you can also use Move as an audio interface, manage and transfer files via Move Manager and charge Move via the computer’s USB-C port. For more information, check out the Move Charging FAQ.

When Move is in Standalone mode, Move currently only supports sending audio out to your computer. This means on your computer you can select Move as the audio input, and can record Move’s main audio directly into your computer (e.g. inside Ableton Live).
In Control Live mode you can use Move as an audio interface to route audio to and from your computer. To enable this mode Move must be connected to your computer via a USB-C cable. See Using Move to control Ableton Live to learn more.
