Lawrence Philip adalah seorang produser, DJ, sound designer dan pengajar yang berbasis di Jakarta, Indonesia. Dia saat ini menjadi instruktur utama untuk kursus Produksi Musik Elektronik di SAE Indonesia. Lawrence adalah Ableton Certified Trainer pertama di Indonesia.

Lawrence telah merilis musik dengan berbagai alias sejak tahun 2000 dan telah bekerja dengan beberapa artis top Indonesia termasuk Marcell, Aura Kasih, Vicky Shu, Kripik Peudeus, United By Haircuts dan Yacko. Karya-karyanya dengan Yacko telah mendapatkan nominasi AMI Awards (setara dengan Grammy) dan memenangkan Best Dance Track di Paranoia Award Indonesia. Lawrence juga merupakan bagian dari Javabass Soundsystem, sebuak kolektif drum & bass dari Jakarta, Indonesia. Dia telah menggunakan Live dalam produksinya sejak versi 1 dan menjadi pengguna Live secara full time pada tahun 2007 ketika ia mencoba untuk membawa musiknya live di atas panggung.
Lawrence mulai mengajar Sound Design untuk Film dan Televisi di SAE Indonesia pada tahun 2014 dan mengambil alih program Produksi Musik Elektronik pada tahun 2015. Keahliannya meliputi desain suara, sintesis, sampling, Live Performance, aransemen, advance production, dan mata pelajaran terkait lainnya.

Lawrence Philip is an award winning producer, DJ, sound designer and educator based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is currently the lead instructor for the Electronic Music Production course at SAE Indonesia. Lawrence is the first Ableton Certified Trainer in Indonesia.
Lawrence has released music under various different aliases since 2000 and has worked with some of Indonesia’s top artists including Marcell, Aura Kasih, Vicky Shu, Kripik Peudeus, United By Haircuts and Yacko. His work with Yacko has netted him AMI Awards (the Indonesian equivalent to a Grammy) nominations and Best Dance Track at Indonesia’s Paranoia Award. Lawrence is also part of Javabass Soundsystem, a pioneering drum and bass collective from Jakarta, Indonesia. He has used Live sparingly in his production since version 1, becoming a full-fledged Live user in 2007 to perform live on stage.
Lawrence started teaching Sound Design for Film and Television at SAE Indonesia in 2014 and took over its Electronic Music Production program in 2015. His expertise includes sound design, synthesis, sampling, live performance, arrangement, advanced production and other related subjects.
He currently performs and releases music as Random.
Lawrence is available for private tutoring in the Jakarta area.
