Adam Partridge has been producing music under Atropolis with Ableton Live for over 10 years. With releases on various international indie labels, Atropolis has also co-produced music for Mel Chin’s art exhibition at the Queen’s Museum; and scored an art installation, Migrant Scape, featured in New York City’s The Shed. His music fuses a wide range of international styles mixed with contemporary forms of electronic music. A remix Atropolis and Jeremy Sole produced for Dom La Nena, Batuque, is a sound example of this fusion. Licensed in the Starz Network show, Power, this remix blends traditional Brazilian folk with trap and juke rhythms.
Parallel to his productions as Atropolis, Adam was one of the senior Ableton Live instructors at Dubspot, New York City. With over eight years of teaching Ableton Live, he has taught at The Foxgrove, Pyramind (online), 343 Labs and is currently launching Sound MANA, an Ableton Live artist retreat on the Pacific coast of Mexico. He will be based in San Agustinillo, OAX, Mexico from March to September 2020, where you can attend his artist residency program designed to cater to the individual needs of each artist.
Adam has taught the former front man of Major Lazer, Skerrit Bwoy; lead singer of TV on The Radio, Tunde; Kimbra; and was Grandmaster Flash’s Ableton Live engineer from 2017 to 2019. With years of experience teaching novice to professional artists, Adam is known for his incredible patience and knowledge.
Adam has performed as an official artist at SXSW using Live by integrating live looping of a gaita (Colombian flute), playing custom instrument racks, sequencing drum patterns and manipulating the performance with custom audio effect racks and a MIDI mixer controller. He has extensive experience in live set up configurations, sound design, mixing, mastering, Max for Live, arrangement and sampling.
