Kid Beyond Workshop Tour in Florida

Singer, beatboxer, songwriter and live looper Kid Beyond will be visiting three Florida Sam Ash stores in late June. He will give workshops on using Live as an on-the-fly song creation tool and will showcase some of his performance skills.

Kid Beyond has been beatboxing for over twenty years. Armed with only a microphone, a laptop and his voice, he layers his soulful, spiritual lyrics over his own vocal instrumentation, creating an evocative, infectiously funky brew of hip-hop/techno-flavored alt-pop.

While beats are his trade, don't be surprised to hear guitar, bass, keys, turntable scratches, horns, movie samples and singing flow from his mouth. Using Ableton Live, Kid Beyond combines these elements, creating full-fledged compositions in real time.
