Move 1.2.0

December 10, 2024

New Features and Improvements

MIDI Sync

It is now possible to send MIDI Sync (i.e., MIDI clock) out when Move is set to receive MIDI notes. This allows USB MIDI devices with internal sequencers and arpeggiators, such as Arturia Beatstep Pro, AKAI MPK Series, or Novation Launchkey series, to be synced to Move's clock, while allowing Move to be played from the device at the same time.

For USB MIDI devices capable of passing MIDI signals through, such as AKAI MPK Series, additional external gear can also be synced to Move’s clock. Such setups allow Move to act as the central clock source while retaining playability from the connected USB MIDI device.

MIDI Sync can be set to Send or Off through the MIDI entry in the Setup menu, both when Move is set to MIDI In and MIDI Out.

Other Improvements

  • The playhead now pulses when Loop Mode is active.
  • Added the following improvements to the 16 Pitches layout:
    • It is now possible to sequence notes in the 16 Pitches layout by holding a step and pressing a pad.
    • You can now transpose notes in the 16 Pitches layout notes using the plus and minus buttons.
  • Move now supports loading all samples from Packs.
  • Restarting all clips is now achieved only by holding Shift and pressing the Play button, and not when Shift is locked.
  • When it is not possible to upload or download a Cloud Set successfully, you can now press the wheel when the "Cloud Error" message is displayed to retry the transfer. The Cloud sync option for each Set is accessible from the Set Overview, after holding Shift and pressing a Set’s pad.
  • It is now easier to add samples to empty drum pads from Move's browser, which is especially useful when building a Drum Rack from scratch. If you press an empty pad when the browser is open, the browser now remains in its current position instead of going back to the root level, which means it is no longer necessary to navigate back to the sample folder every time you press an empty pad.
  • Sound Library improvements:
    • Added new presets:
      • Drift: Special Effects > Hoover
      • Effects: Delay > Time Delay
    • Improved Velocity-to-Volume settings for presets using Wavetable and Sampler to enhance their playability.

Bugfixes

  • Added various bugfixes and stability improvements.

Move 1.1.3

  • Fixed a crash related to slice-recording.

Move 1.1.2

October 8, 2024

New features:

16 Pitches

The new 16 Pitches layout allows you to play drum samples melodically using the 16 pads to the right of the Drum Rack pads. Press a Drum Rack pad, then use the pads on the right to play the selected sample at different pitches. Change the octave range for the available pitches with the plus and minus buttons.

The 16 Pitches layout is available in tracks that use Drums Track Presets. To use the layout, hold Shift and press Step 8.

Arpeggiator

You can now turn a chord into a sequence of individual notes with Arpeggiator. Hold Shift and press Step 11 to open the Repeat menu, then press and turn the wheel to select one from three different Arpeggiator styles: Arp Up, Arp Down, or Arp Random. When Arpeggiator is used on individual notes, they are repeated at the rate set in the Repeat menu.

Arpeggiator is only available when using melodic instruments.

Control Live Mode

Move can now be used as a control surface for Live, allowing you to work on your Live Sets in Move's Note Mode or launch clips and scenes in Move's Session Mode.

To use Control Live Mode, connect Move to your computer via a USB-C cable and open Live. Then, press Shift and Step 2 to open the Setup menu, and select the Control Live entry with the wheel.

Other Improvements

  • It is now possible to select a hostname for accessing Move Manager instead of using the automatically assigned name, which allows you to distinguish your unit from others connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  • You can now send audio from Move to Live via USB-C.
  • Updated the Core Library:
    • Added new Melodic Sampler presets.
    • Added new Drum Rack presets including samples by DECAP, L.Dre, and Taka Perry.
    • Added new Drum Rack templates.
    • Added new audio effect presets for Saturator and Dynamics.
    • Refined existing presets.
  • Move Manager now works on Windows 10 via USB-C without manually installing drivers.
  • Implemented various bugfixes.
