Loptimist began his career as a beatmaker and rapper. This evolved into sampling and sound design, and finally music production. He's since developed a deep understanding of music theory and jazz harmony. Lee taught himself to play guitar and keyboard, and finding those limiting, started building Max for Live devices to leverage all that he had learned. Today, he works with a global community of musicians and programmers to improve his tools further and share them with the world.
