Kukje University of Arts was established in 2008 and consists of 6 departments: Applied music, Studio composition and production, Musical theatre, Performing arts management, Theatrical arts and stage director, and Beauty art design.
The Studio Composition and Production department was established in 2015 and is now offering a full-time, 2 year training course in music composition, music technology, audio engineering and visual interactive art.
Kukje University of Art is the only school which uses Ableton Live as it's main DAW of focus in South Korea. The school also runs MAX/MSP, VDMX & Pro Tools classes every semester.
Every class is related to Ableton Live with the main objective of helping students become skilled in using Ableton Live and its main tools for live performance, recording, electronic music production, interactive visual art and music. The teaching studio of the studio composition and production department is equipped with the latest technology and every student has access to an Intel Apple iMac computer.
