Transient Machines: Versatile drum and loop processing for Live
The team behind the popular analog delay-modelling Dub Machines Pack, Surreal Machines, has returned with a new collection of audio tools: Transient Machines, the first transient shaper specifically made for Live.
The new Pack is modelled after studio-grade transient designers and aims to give Ableton users another level of dynamic control over their drums and loops (and is also compatible with Push directly out of the box). With Transient Machines you can quickly do things like add more punch to lackluster kicks and snares, mellow out brittle hi-hats and cymbals, or take away reverb and rattle from especially problematic loops.
Transient Machines consists of two powerful devices: the multi-band Impact, which allows you to precisely dial in your transient shaping within specific frequency ranges, and Crack, which provides a quick and easy way to sculpt the transients of single drum hits or entire loops. In addition, both devices use a signal chain specifically designed to work with transient material which can help add new layers of sonic character to all the sounds you choose to shape.
