First iOS apps with Link available now
A few weeks ago we announced Link – a technology that syncs devices’ timing over a wireless network. Link not only works between multiple instances of Live on different computers but also between Link-enabled iOS apps. Now, the first batch of apps with Link built in are available in the App Store.
Works with and without Live
Link-enabled apps can play in time with each other, even when they’re on the same device and even without Live in your setup. And if you’re using Audiobus, you can switch Link on in all relevant apps with one tap. See how this works in the following video:
Link will be included in Ableton Live software in an upcoming update. In the meantime, to use Live with any of the Link-enabled apps, please download the latest Live beta version.

Build Link into your app
We want Link to help musicians connect and collaborate in innovative ways, so we’ll be sharing the Link SDK for free. If you’re an app developer who’s interested in the technical details or would like to request the SDK, head to the Link Github page.
