Xavier Leloux is a musician, producer and educator based in Paris. He has played in numerous bands, sometimes on electric mandolin, sometimes on bass or on Push, but almost always with his laptop – giving wings to everyone on stage. He has been a seasoned Ableton Live user for over a decade, and is constantly seeking creative and practical ways to interact with the computer in a group setting.

Trained in electro-acoustic music at Lille University and in jazz at the Conservatory, Xavier Leloux has devoted a lot of time to building bridges between playing music and sequencing with Live. He enjoys, for example, making effect racks, sampled instruments and live sets for a range of music-making contexts.
As a composer, Xavier regularly works on theater productions and with visual artists. He is presently working on a play called Like Me, which will take place in municipal swimming pools with sound played through headphones. He also recently created a cine-concert for Le Forum des Images in Paris with Anne Frèches.
Currently, Xavier fires up dancefloors as part of oriental/gypsy duo Les Frères Tatane, and Th/s /s Sh/t, a hybrid techno-rock band with a darker mood. In the past, he was one half of experimental drum & bass guitar duo Margaret Catcher.
He loves meeting people and discussing how they can make music in a unique way. His teaching approach is relaxed and focused on understanding each learner’s objectives.
Xavier offers private lessons and consulting on using Live on stage. He also teaches Live and Push in Le 40ème Rugissant Ableton Certified Center in Paris.
