Our degree is taught in the heart of the city—Australia’s music capital and home to thriving local scenes, buskers, bars, clubs, theatres and festivals. It is a one-of-a-kind qualification, renowned for its blend of project-based work and academic study. Students learn about key music technologies, global music cultures, popular music scenes, music business practice, and live music performance. Ableton Live is the exclusive platform for all our music and production courses. Commencing with a ‘101’ in music production, students can then pursue advanced studios that may include sampling, sound design, or mixing/mastering. These classes earn credit points toward the three-year Bachelor’s degree.
Our teachers bring exceptional expertise in Ableton Live, with some having used the software since 2005. As active producers and performers, Live is more than a teaching tool, it is our instrument of choice for any music, sound, or performance project. This real-world connection ensures that our curriculum continuously evolves alongside software updates and emerging production techniques. Our teaching style is hands-on and interactive: our aim is for students to enjoy the experience of learning in a setting that is dynamic, responsive, and fun.
