The weekly lectures in our computer lab are partnered with tutorial sessions which give students hands on, practical support from our qualified trainers and guest lecturers.
As well as our computer lab, Students also have access to a well-stocked MIDI studio with a range of outboard instruments from classic 70âs synths through to the latest re-imaginings from iconic brands.Â
The Bachelor of Music is grounded in the vibrant cultural community that is the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music. As the University's premiere music degree, you can expect an exciting diversity of experiences, creative partnerships and facilities designed to prepare you for life as a professional musician or related artistic career.
The Music Technology major is devoted to developing the student's awareness of what is required for musical expression utilising music technology, as well as how and why this might be achieved, at a professional level. Using industry standard audio design tools, students will engage in problem-based learning requiring them to analyse, experiment with, reflect on revise and develop their craft and skill as music technologists.
