Michael Greig is a musician, producer, and educator with over two decades of experience at the crossroads of music creation, performance, and education. His journey began in the mid-1990s, founding and running his own studio, producing a wide range of music from indie guitar bands to sound art and experimental electronica, while releasing his own work across genres like hardcore rave, techno, and minimal house.
As an engineer, collaborator and trainer, he has worked with some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Carl Cox, Orbital, NJoi, Mark Ronson, X-Press 2, and Darren Emerson. Since 2008, he has served as the in-house engineer for the respected underground label bullet:dodge.
Michael was one of the first educators to teach Ableton Live in the UK, designing pioneering degree-level courses in music production, sound design, and live performance at institutions like Leeds Conservatoire. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has taught in universities and training programs across the UK and Europe.
An early advocate for hands-on music tech innovation, Michael was the first Certified Trainer to introduce Push to the UK music technology press, recording the widely viewed âAbleton Push â A Track in 10 Minutesâ video for Sonicstate. Since then, he has delivered Push-focused seminars, workshops, and courses across the UK and beyond, now specializing in both tethered and standalone workflows with Push 3.Known for his clarity, depth, and personalised approach,
