If you own any previous version of Live Lite, you can upgrade for free.
Ableton Live 12 Lite is a fresh and easy way to write, record, produce and perform your own songs. It comes with many hardware products for free. Your license will never expire.
Where do I get a Live 12 Lite serial?
Live Lite serial numbers are included with various hardware devices and apps – find out more here. Keep in mind Live Lite only comes with certain devices and a serial cannot be issued without a qualifying hardware purchase. The Lite serial number is issued when registering your hardware with the manufacturer, or is included with the device packaging itself.
How do I authorize Live 12 Lite?

Once installed, you need to authorize your Live Lite copy using a valid serial and an Ableton account. You can create an account during the registration process if you don’t have one.
Am I eligible for a free Live 12 Lite upgrade?
If you own any older version of Live Lite, you are eligible for a free upgrade to Live 12 Lite. You don’t need a new serial number.

- ASIO compatible audio hardware for Link support (also recommended for optimal audio performance)
